If Shelves Could Talk

My students need solidly constructed bookshelves so that our books can be out in the open and accessible, not locked away in cabinets. The bookshelves will also help our library stay organized!

My Students

The scholars in my classroom are energetic, passionate, and kind. They strive to be their very best every day and love to learn about other people and experience new things.

Together my scholars and I strive to be the change and make the world a better place.

Our neighborhood is in a suburb of Denver and our school has nearly 1,000 students. The student population varies and includes students from different family backgrounds and different learning capabilities. Passion and hard-work help students breed success in our school.

My Project

These bookshelves would enable my students and I to organize our classroom library. Our classroom library contains nearly 1,500 books that a place to live and be organized. These bookshelves would be extremely helpful in helping students access the books and find whatever they may need to help the grow further in love with reading.

Choice in reading is essential for students developing a deep and forever book love.

Having the opportunity and access to read books from a classroom library that is organized in a manner that students help create promotes a reading culture that will instill a genuine passion for reading beyond just the classroom walls.
