My Students
Have you ever met a child that comes from high poverty, but is intelligent, creative and resilient? They work harder than most just to prove that they are someone in this world who deserves a chance, and are here to make a difference. This describes every single one of my 6th grade students.
After Hurricane Harvey devastated most of my students' homes, they still gave 100% and reached above the bar to exceed all of my expectations, and then some!
STEM and problem based learning have helped my students reach their goals in and out of the classroom. They are our future leaders and are so deserving of the most resources available, to continue to mold them into leaders of the tomorrow.
My Project
Having an iPad in the classroom allows my students to have instant technological access in the classroom. It also gives them differentiated instruction and experience with different forms of technology! The iPad will also serve as a way to display what we are doing in the classroom on different social media avenues so that students can take charge of what they are learning. Apple has great resources for reading, especially for my English Language Learners. We are 75% Hispanic, and this will definitely help with our language gaps! Please help our kids grow by allowing us to have an iPad in our classroom!
