My Students

I work with preschool students with Autism and Developmental Delays.

Speech-language therapy is embedded in Preschool Intervention Classrooms focusing on the individual needs of each child. We work to decrease frustration by increasing communication skills.

My Project

With an iPad mini, protective case, and earPods, I will be able to take, edit, and show photos of items and activities in the preschool environment, capture video of students in action, and create personalized photo stories. Students will learn to label items and activities, tell about actions, and retell stories and experiences.

With the resource of an iPad mini as a therapeutic tool, I will be able to help my students become more successful communicators.

Students will be motivated to see and talk about themselves in pictures, videos, and personalized stories.
