My Project

My students create a family at our school. We are a performing arts family (bands, choirs, strings, theatre, and dance) that support each other on the stage, in the classroom and beyond. We are a NJ high school, just outside NYC, servicing a multicultural population of students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. We strongly believe that the arts can instill positive change, transform, inspire, and change lives.The Music program is a powerful unifier in our school. We are going to build this program over a strong foundation and proud history and generations of art students.

We have a music production/recording setup that we have built through Donors Choose this year and are trying to add the crucial speakers to hear everything clearly.

We previously raised funds a new Mac Mini, monitor and Ableton recording, music production software. Our students are involved with producing and recording music and videos that are represent our programs to the school and community. These speakers will help complete that setup so we can hear our beautiful music that we have been recording.

Our youtube channel @WeAreRahwayArts features our performances. We just released a performance of "Sing Out, March On" celebrating the life of civil rights icon John Lewis. Please check it out! With these tools, we will continue to create and produce great content featuring our students and their talents.
