My Students

My students are wonderful group of kids who love to discover new and exciting things. I want to continue to challenge them and expose them to new access points of science.

My group of eighth graders are a delightful bunch from Wisconsin.

They attend an urban middle school with a wide variety of ethnicity's and abilities. Overall, this group of students loves to learn and be challenged. Because of all of these attributes, I want to provide all that I can for the optimal learning experience! We have approximately 40% poverty within our building, but that does not stop us!

My Project

In the coming weeks we will begin our solar system unit. What is challenging about teaching planetary science, is making the stars come alive. There are many apps that are able to be projected onto our screen where students can see constellations, galaxies and more.

I have many students who need to make the connections through personal experience.

If they can be the ones actively moving and adjusting the view, they will be able to connect much stronger to the materials. I am excited to have the opportunity for the stars to come alive!
