Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my 6th year of teaching. I have taught both international and nationally. My experiences have taught me that students, no matter the age, learn best by doing. It is my goal to provide as many active learning situations as possible. I am technology driven individual and strive to bring as much technology into the classroom whether it is through STEAM projects, apps, or project based learning. My school serves a low-income area of San Bernadino, CA. The majority of the population are English Learners.
The school is a K-6 and serves over 700 children and has fantastic teachers who love their students.
The goal is prepare every student for college and career readiness no matter their income. To prepare students to be productive citizens of a global society.
My Project
My students enjoying using every space in the room while they work. They do their best work when they are comfortable. Many of my students like to work on the floor. The lap tables and pillows will allow them to work comfortable. The wobble cushions will assist with hyperactivity and the Empire chairs are so cool children will be begging to learn in them.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
These materials will provide my students more of what they need to fulfill their learning potential. Since every child has diverse needs should not the classroom furniture be flexible to fit those needs?
