This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten in a low income/high need school in Texas. The majority of my students are on free or reduced lunch. My students are special because they are not limited by their circumstances.

My class is full of enthusiastic students who love to learn and try new things!

I find that when I try new things, my students are more motivated to learn. I am always looking for new ways to introduce concepts to my students.

I am always pushing myself to learn new things and try new techniques! My students know that if I can try new things and push myself to succeed, then they can too!

My Project

Get Your Teach On is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for K-6 teachers. It will give me the opportunity to spend 2 1/2 days learning the tips, tricks, and best practices from some of our countries most recognized and successful educators.

Their expertise will empower and inspire me to create dynamic learning experiences for my students.

Sessions include lessons on reading, writing, science, STEM, social studies, and integrating technology. Even as a veteran teacher with over twenty years experience, this training will help me grow as an educator and allow me to connect with fellow teachers around the country. I will be able to leave this conference with new strategies that I can share with my school and colleagues.
