This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a school for newcomers and almost all of our students and families come to the country with minimal items. Twice a week, I run the after school program where we often play outside. Along with staying warm at home, I would like for my students to be warm at school as well.

As stated, my students often come to this country without even a jacket.

I would like to be able to provide my students with a hat, a pair of gloves, and a scarf so they can be warm when we play as well as be able to be warm when they go home.

Every item in this project will be used and taken care of. The students will be so happy to be able to have winter items that are like their friends in other schools.
