Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Education is not just filling in the bucket but lighting of a fire."- William A. Poet. Incorporating technology in the classroom is inevitable to prepare my students to stay abreast of the dynamic world. Creating Curious Learners, is my everyday teaching goal.
I teach in a high school of urban setting.
I've a student population with diverse needs. They have diverse language, cultural, social and economical backgrounds. Incorporating technology in my classroom with the projection camera and introducing hands-on technical manipulatives is critical to their learning needs.
My Project
My students will be able to learn and understand the mathematical concepts better especially when they are given the opportunity to explore the wonders of Graphing with technology like a graphing or scientific calculator.
Crating Curious learners is my everyday teaching goal. Most of them are savvy users of technology and will benefit tremendously if they are given an opportunity to play around with it.
My students will be inspired to learn the mathematical concepts in exploring the technology.
Some of them have affordability issues and sometimes they do not get an opportunity to buy a scientific calculator. It will be a blessing to have a teacher bundle of graphing calculators as a classroom set.
