I teach in a full day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Regardless of what's happening at home, these children come to school cheerful, eager, and energetic to learn and explore new things. I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding.
I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that I can provide.
My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my children inspired, engaged, and passionate about learning because these young children are the future.

My Project
Having a Chromebook to use during center time is an excellent addition to my classroom. Getting young children exposed to technology is a very important skill. Technology is an essential part of learning today, and I want to make sure my little ones have everything they need to become successful as they are learning and growing. With a Chromebook, my students can learn at their own pace. They can listen and read stories together online, play interactive learning games on Starfall and I can even utilize the Chromebook in everyday instruction. Having a Chromebook in the classroom for center time will actually be the very first time that my students get to use a computer in our classroom. I want to make learning as fun as possible for them!
