Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in a 12:1:1 classroom. They have been together for five years and are excited for a new year and new start! My students are all learning disabled, but are full of energy and excitement. They are well-behaved and love science and math. Our school is a Title I school with every student receiving free lunch.
Learning disabilities do not keep my students from achieving their goals.
They work extra hard to keep up and they enjoy learning new topics.
My Project
My special education students are requesting more "I Survived" stories to keep their obsession growing. We just completed "I Survived Hurricane Katrina" and they LOVED it! Many have requested more books, but unfortunately we do not have any more books in our library. Help us stock our library with high-interest books!
My special education kiddos may have healthy book minds, but we also need healthy bodies!
I am requesting a Swiffer set, complete with refills to keep our classroom germ and mess-free. We also need a dustpan and broom to help sweep up glitter and other materials used in our exciting day.
