As Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon for changing the world.”
This is exactly what my fourth-grade students need in their daily lives.
They need the necessary resources to help them along the way to move forward and continue to succeed in this world that is full of literacy.
My students attend an inner-city school whose student body is diverse, both academically and socioeconomically. Many of the students are English Language Learners, and some were living in war-torn countries before coming to the United States for a better life and education. My students are full of potential and are eager to learn. They come to school each and every day with smiles on their faces despite the challenges they face both at school and home. They do not have the required materials at home to practice what is being taught in the classroom. The instruction they receive in my classroom is usually the extent of their learning time. The support at home is little to none, mostly due to the lack of materials. They need to develop the skills to keep up in a world that is full of literacy.
My Project
My students need these requested Belkin protective cases to keep our classroom iPads safe. We were fortunate enough to have iPads donated to our classroom, but they need to stay protected. The students use the iPads on a daily basis to help with reading and math skills, but we would like them to last for a long time. That can only happen if they each have a protective case!
Do you hear what I hear?
Nope, because with these Sony headphones, the students can work independently on classroom assignments without the entire class being disrupted.
The students love using our classroom technology and since accidents do happen, we can try to prevent our technology from getting ruined if we keep them safe and protected! These materials will make a tremendous difference in my students' lives because they will be able to practice the skills needed to succeed on our state testing! Many of my students don't have access to the internet at home, so using the iPads in school is about the only time they can practice for our state test!
