Ms. Thalacker from Sandy Springs GA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need book bins to help organize their classroom books by levels in order for them to be able to find books at their reading level easily.

A typical day in my class is meeting together for a mini lesson where I am modeling to the students strategies to help them become better readers and writers. Afterwards, they go off around the room to try out these new strategies using self-selected books on their reading level where they are exploring their interests and gaining new ones. We research, debate, discuss with partners and book clubs, and learn all of the genres available to explore.
My class is full of sweet and loving students who are eager to learn each and every day.
I can see their minds mold through each lesson and each exploration. It is amazing to see!
My school is focused on Reader's Workshop where students are continuously book shopping for their bags. One of the focuses of Reader's Workshop is having students read where they do well independently and work with them in conferences on the next level to get them ready for it independently.
With their levels continuously changing, students will be able to easily see where their leveled books are located using the storage bins I am requesting.
Thus, they can explore the world of reading more and spend less time trying to find the books on their level. This also allows me, as the teacher, to quickly find books at their instructional level to help them prepare for that style of book.
