Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students from Pre-K at STSS are awesome. This is a second-year as an immersion program and my students are not only learning English but Spanish as well. My students definitely love hands-on activities, experiments, and projects. I love seen my students' expressions when I have something new for them or when we are doing a cool experiment altogether. They love new things in our classroom. I love to be able to see them happy, learning, enjoying and interacting while I'm teaching. As a dual-language program we talk about diversity, cultures, and languages that are around the world as well.
My Project
Children learn in different ways. Technology is an essential tool that not all children get to have in their everyday lives. In class, tablets would have a great impact on our children. As a preschool class inside an elementary school, we have a few limits on the use of computer labs.
We will download apps that develop different skills such as literacy, math, and reading.
They will have the opportunity to listen to stories, do some tracing activities and counting. when they move t kindergarten they will have the opportunity to use more technology, so for some of them it would be a basic learning experience.
In this technology world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their desire to learn and use new technology.
