We are in need of some multicultural books. I teach my students about holidays around the world each month. I try to celebrate diversity throughout the year by focusing on different countries. I would love to represent children all over the world within my classroom.
My Project
My students are learning about different countries each month. We focus on different nationalities by celebrating holidays throughout the world. It would be nice to have books that would help enhance the learning throughout the many lessons that we have on diversity.
I want children to be able to feel like they belong and see themselves in these books throughout our classroom.
I have a unique opportunity to help my students see how much we are alike in many ways throughout the world. We are continuing to learn and grow in Kindergarten. This is a wonderful age to help introduce different races throughout the world!
My students thrive off of learning about other children throughout the world! It is exciting to open a book and talk about their culture and traditions.
