My Students

I teach third grade in a Title I school. Many of my students come from lower economic families. In many cases, my students qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. My class is very diverse!

For some of my students, life is hard!

They are not afforded the amenities that so many take for granted. In many cases, English is a second language for my students. Despite the hardships my students face, they come to school smiling and ready to learn! My students are awesome!

My Project

The materials I have chosen will give students those visuals they need to help them understand math. The Jumbo Magnetic Multiplication Arrays will help the class see and build arrays. The Magnetic Graph and Array Chart will help my class draw arrays and create bar graphs! Being able to erase and create a new arrays or graphs, on this magnetic chart, will allow me to teach; and students to practice for years to come!

Easy Read Rulers will help my students understand fractions!

The typical rulers are hard to read for students just learning. Having the fractions printed on the ruler will help them to see the parts making the whole. We can use these rulers to learn fractions; and to learn measuring.

The Magnetic Teaching Clock will be a great tool for students to learn and practice telling time.
