I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Chromebooks!
My students need 5 Lenovo Chromebooks to allow them to utilize technology at its finest. These 5 Chromebooks would allow my students access to their Reading Counts, Reflex Math, and other online resources.
My classroom of third graders includes extremely talented, determined, bright, and lively little minds. Each student is diverse in their own way and ready to learn. As a class, we try to create an atmosphere of learning and motivation. We look at each day as being full of goals, challenges, and accomplishments.
I teach at a Title I school in Oklahoma where 78% of our student population currently receives free or reduced breakfast and lunches.
The classroom setting is extremely important in order to meet the needs of all of my students and their diversities. We look at our classroom as our home, where we can come together and learn by using all resources possible. By creating a positive learning environment, it not only makes my students enjoy school, but they are motivated to learn and excited to explore new possibilities.
My Project
Our classroom uses technology everyday in some form or another, so having these Chromebooks would allow my students to utilize their resources. Our school currently shares a computer lab; however, due to the high number of students, getting to utilize the computer lab is very challenging.
Having these Chromebooks would allow my students to reach both their reading and math goals, as well as give them an opportunity to make great educational gains exploring their online resources.
Our classroom technology can't compete with neighboring schools; however, this grant will help to close that gap by helping my students become more familiar with technology.
