Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an enthusiastic, friendly, and diverse group of kids. What makes my school so special is that the students come together from various cultures and perspectives to create a warm and inviting environment.
Over half of the student at my school are English learners, and many students come from a low socio economic background.
Our staff is guided by Highly Effective Teaching (HET) standards and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). The students strive to live and practice Lifeskills to be citizens of our changing world.
My Project
In our class, all of our students have different learning styles and needs. We also have many English learners and students who do not have access to technology at home. We will greatly benefit from having a couple of I-Pads in our class for various reasons.
Technology is key in our changing world.
Practice using an I-Pad can target many learners. For example, our students can use I-Pads for reading, math support, language support, and research. The students can also use the I-Pads during independent work time and small group instruction. Different games and tools can target all of our students. By adding this technology to our class, we can reach all students's strengths, challenges, and interests.
