My students will use the these I-pads in small groups to complete research-based activities, project based activities and district math programs. Using the computers will provide them a chance to increase their team working skills and expose them to lessons and activities based on 21st century skills. They will also use the I-pads for presentations that will allow them to practice collaboration, communication, and creativity. These I-pads will offer my students the opportunity to complete research in class and other computer-based projects. Students learning English will have access to vocabulary and text at their individual levels. Having a computer center in our classroom would benefit learners of all levels and backgrounds.
In addition to the apps they will be using in small group, I will also be able to record exemplar lessons using the Show Me app.
During this time that we are distance learning, I must be able to use a white board app to show my students the step they need to solve word problems.
I really want to have my classroom stations set up so that my kids are excited when we have guided math time. I look forward to them working independently as I focus on small group instruction. These I-pads will ensure that they are able to reach exemplar lessons while in station.
I want to ensure that my inner city students have the same opportunities to have technology at their fingertips that their suburban counterparts have.
I am excited to see their faces light up with my fun lessons using amazing apps that are geared to making their learning experience rich with technology.
This project is essential to keep up with higher socio-economic schools. I want to give the students equitable math learning experience. This will happen in a small group that fosters a deep application of mathematics. The I-Pads will give them opportunities to see my teacher created videos and explain math problems in a concrete way before moving on to an abstract concept.
