Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income school district, I see that many of my students are faced with many challenges inside and outside of our school. My goal is to create a second home for them, where they learn and most of all have fun, a place where they feel safe.
Our Kindergarten students are smart, caring and, most of all, are hard workers.
They like to learn and showcase their work. They love learning new things every day and make me super proud of how much they grow through by the end of the year.
My Project
The students finally have 1:1 iPads this year! We use the iPads for many things. And this year they will be using them even more. Due to covid-19 restrictions, we are aiming towards no paper this year and completing work digitally.
The stands will keep the iPads more protected as well as helping the kids keeps their eyes straight instead of looking down on the screen.
It will also maintain the iPads in good condition for the students in the following years to come. In the past the kids would use items to help position the iPad up so they could see it better. But, because the kids can't use any shared times that won't happen. These stands will also help the kids keep a distance from eachother by keeping their iPad in their personal space.
There may also be times where they will need to look at the iPad while writing since they can use resources easily. These stands will help them do this more comfortably. I would like my students to be able to be comfortable as possible. In advance, Kinder says Thank you!
