Mrs. Jones from Houston TX is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need technology accessible to them to expand their minds in preparation for 21st- Century learning.

We are college-bound kindergarteners, excited every day about the opportunities that come with learning all that we can. As the teacher, I strive to make learning fun and engaging for us on a daily basis. I truly believe that every child can learn anything if taught to them in the proper manner.
We are a low income, Title One school that has access to minimal supplies and technology and great literacy options.
Also, some of my students were highly affected by Hurricane Harvey and are still displaced. I have reached in my pockets multiple times to purchase backpacks and school supplies for my students who lost everything. Our school, though dealing with its own struggles from Harvey, has also opened the doors to another school as they are fully housed on our campus because their campus was destroyed in Harvey.
We would be most grateful for the support of DonorsChoose as we continue in this amazing journey or learning, exploration and discovery; we are on every day as the future leaders of America.
My students have minimal exposure to technology and iPads are an excellent effective tool that can easily be incorporated into so many activities for the students. We are able to add learning tools for reading, math, science, phonics, and everything else in between. It isn’t imperative that this generation is knowledgeable and comfortable with technology as that is the wave of the future. Some of my students will never have exposure to an iPad beyond their classroom experiences bc of financial hardships that they deal with on a regular basis in their homes. Again we would truly appreciate the exposure having class iPads would bring to the students.
