My Students

Do you remember trying to read a book that was too hard? My students sometimes have to read books not on their instructional level due to the fact we have limited leveled books.

My students attend a Title I school where almost 80 percent of the students qualify for free and reduced lunch services.

Our rural community has limited Internet access and most students are not exposed to technology or books in the home. My students are energetic 6 year olds that are eager to learn and eager to please.

My Project

With the addition of several different leveled books, my students would be able to have books on their instructional level. Right now some of my students are having to read books that are too easy or on their frustration level because our leveled book library is so low. I would love to see all my students have enough books to soar in their reading ability!

What better life skill do our children need than to be fluent readers?

It is the very basis to leading a productive life. I want to give my students everything they need to be successful, won't you please help me? Thank you in advance!
