Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my classroom is fun with lots of hands-on learning. My students are so eager to learn and love school so much. They get excited about new things and new topics we learn about.
Most of my students come from a lower-income family and 100% of my campus is on free lunch.
My students are very young and love helping me out. My students typically come from all sorts of backgrounds, things other people may not be experiencing at their homes. A lot of the time, my students come to school hungry, sleepy, or they may not even have a bed to sleep in. Our school is a place where they can get their needs met both emotionally and physically. I want to ensure my students feel safe and want to come to school.
My Project
I am new to Pre-K and the previous teachers in my room did not have an art easel or painting supplies. I am in great need of these items.
I want my little learners to be able to express themselves through art and have fun while doing it!
Having this tabletop easel will allow them a designated space where they know they can create on the paper that I have requested. Having the kid-friendly paint and paintbrushes will allow this center to be loved by many of my lovebugs. And with the spill-proof paint cups and paint tray, I know that all of the paint will end up on the paper and not the floor.
