Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Music goes beyond language. Over 75% of the student population are minorities (56% Hispanic & 14% Black). I need your support in complimenting technology for remote Band learning. Music encourages creativity, critical thinking, and supports STEAM which is 21st-century skills.
Your support will provide close the gap to transform the Music Room.
I have been able to gather a few iPads, microphones, keyboard and other pieces of gear. With a this items I will be able to create a close to seamless remote learning experience.

My Project
Teaching middle school band during the Covid-19 pandemic has been one of the most challenging things I have ever experienced as a teacher. Usually a band room is filled with 45+ Students at a time, now I have a laptop display filled with 45+ little squares with faces. By having a second display, I will be able to see all my students at the same time, while been able to do other teacher stuff such as taking attendance, sharing my screen and presenting slideshows. Your support will help for a more productive and meaningful experience.
