My Students
My students attend a Middle/High School combination building that is in the northernmost part of our district. Our school serves 551 students. Our small town doesn't even have a stop light! We have 45% of our student population that qualify for free or reduced lunch based on income.
Covid-19 has changed to look of the classroom.
This year has included many changes for my students. I have 25% of my students in a virtual classroom on zoom and 75% face to face in the classroom. My students would like to have some "normal" in our classroom.
My Project
The group at the kidney shaped table getting extra help was "normal" for me in my elementary classroom. I miss that in my middle school classroom and the students do too. It is easier for students to come to me for help while I am able to continue to work with the at home students on zoom.
I want to meet with students in small groups, but Covid-19 has added a few challenges to small group work.
I need stools that are easy to move and sanitize to use for small group work. I also want to be able to quickly take student temperatures before they join the small group.
