My Project

The color printer, a button maker, and button making supplies will bring my students’ work to life. Having access to a color printer will allow them to showcase their projects with pride, building confidence and creating a positive classroom environment where they feel seen and valued. Wearing a button with a favorite affirmation or image provides a small, everyday reminder of what they’re working toward. Together, these tools help my students take ownership of their growth in a fun, hands-on way, transforming digital vision boards and positive affirmations into something they can see, hold, display, and wear every day.

My goal for this project is to help my students recognize their strengths, embrace their growth, and believe in their future.

I want my students to think deeply about their goals, reflect on themselves, and express their creativity by turning their ideas into meaningful, visible projects. By creating and displaying their vision boards and affirmations, my students become more engaged with their goals and excited to share their work, inspiring others through their creativity.

What makes my 8th grade students special is their growing ability to imagine the future and set meaningful goals. They’re starting to connect schoolwork to their interests and reflect on their strengths and values. This shift helps them think bigger, plan steps toward their goals, and take ownership of their growth.
