The majority of my students come from disadvantaged homes, and school is their only safehaven. Sometimes, learning is the last thing on their minds. Learning can be even more difficult for students with disabilities, and I have 29 wonderful students, who I get excited for each time they learn a new skill!
Like a baby learning to walk, practice is key, and I get excited everytime my students have success.
All that practice & some patience has paid off. That is how I feel about my students when they master a new skill... everyone feels excited and can not wait to tell or show me their achievements.
My Project
My students use a variety of technology in the classroom. We have two different computer stations for independent practice and curriculum instruction. We also have iPods to play educational games and drills. All of our technology is used for both reading and math instruction.
Every day, my students come into my classroom excited about learning, because the technology is individualized, engaging, and motivating.
The best part is my struggling students are learning through games, and they do not even realize it.
I love being able to use technology in the classroom and to see the progress my students make! They work so hard, and they deserve a fun, educational experiences.
