My Kindergarten class consists of 25 bright and busy 5- and 6-year-old children who are eager to get to work this year. My students come from backgrounds including Polish-speaking and Spanish-speaking. Many of them are first- and second-generation immigrants. Students spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need as they move forward in advanced studies.
We are located in a low income Chicago neighborhood where kids come to school provided with a very limited amount of school supplies.
Confortable seating allows students to take charge of their learning helps them to be more engage. During our balance literacy block students rotate to different centers. Some centers they need a table to work on activities; other need to be more flexible and comfortable.
Who likes to read on a hard floor or a hard plastic chairs?
Not me, not you and certainly not my Kindergarten students. My kindergartens are eager to learn but struggle during their silent reading time. These products I have selected will help my students feel more willing to go and enjoy reading a great book. The headsets will be soft to their ears and will be able to listen more comfortably to their songs and poems.
