My Students

Walking into the classroom and getting to choose where they sit might be the easiest decision some of my students have to make each day. My class community consists of students with a wide range of learning abilities and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Out of my 40 students, we have 6 that have learning disabilities, and several other students reading 2 grade levels below where they should be.

This is a prime example that not everyone learns the same way.

Many of the students in my class come to school without the materials they need and have limited access to resources outside the classroom. Regardless of their ability or background they all have one goal and that is to get an education.

My Project

With flexible seating already in place in my classroom, these wiggle seats and game rocker will provide the students in my class with more flexible seating options.

Since not everyone learns the same way, these seating options allow students an opportunity to choose a spot that works best for them and the ability to move while learning.

In looking into more seating options, I found rave reviews about the wiggle seats and rockers. The donation of this project will help enhance the classroom learning environment.

When students are moving, their brain is more engaged. By having alternative seating options, students will be able to move and learn at the same time.
