This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The early years of a child's life are fundamentally important ones. Those years are the foundation that molds those children’s overall well-being and development in their school, home, and career life. Each year I have 22 bright and energetic students who are always eager to learn. In an effort to give my students the best opportunity for growth in literacy incorporation with economics, I would like to create a print-rich environment.
We are in need of print-rich materials such as big books, library books, read alouds, and writing materials.
It is very important for my students to be able to be immersed in literacy experiences.
My Project
By providing these books to my students, they will continue to experience a print-rich classroom. My classroom is a fun and inviting area in which I am attempting to make better by making sure a library is a place that my students really enjoy. Shared reading and read-aloud time can be more exciting with more variety. Even the students who are learning virtually can enjoy the read alouds and shared reading.
All of the books that I have chosen were done so because my students love them, I want to read to them about different types of subjects including math and economics, and I especially love reading them to them.
There are some that they are familiar with and some they are not familiar with. I am looking forward to reading both types of them.
The new books give my students a variety to choose from and will help them read on grade level and books that interest them. My students are excited about adding more books to the library and to the classroom.
