My Students

In my classroom for students with exceptionalities, we bring a love of learning to our students. Most of my students have challenging behaviors and other disabilities they must overcome.

Every child can learn, but some children need a little more to help them along.

Our school is rural in a very small town. It's actually the only school in town. It is a Title I school (low socioeconomic). We do not have a lot of resources. We could really use some help getting some resources to use with our students with special needs.

My Project

When I get back to school after Thanksgiving break, I will be teaching a new class of students with special needs. I will also continue teaching my ESE resource students. I want to provide my new ESE class with an iPad and protective case to enhance their learning experience.

Tablets are wonderful tools for students to practice skills that they have learned and allow them to document their learning on apps like Seesaw to share with others.

An iPad would also be a great motivating tool and incentive for students to stay engaged in their learning. Students are always more engaged in lessons when interesting technology is involved.
