Help me give my students Safety Name Tags so they can wear their names around their necks. These are the perfect size. We can also take the basic practice ring wherever we go.
I teach at a Title I school. All students get free breakfast, and most get free lunch, others get a discounted lunch. I teach 3, 4, and 5 year old ESE students. Most I have for two years and some for three years depending on when their birthday is. When they turn 5, they will move on to kindergarten the following year.
My students are mostly developmentally delayed or on the autism spectrum, some with speech issues.
Most of my students are from low-income situations, and they get many opportunities in my classroom and the use of materials that they may not have at home.
My students come into class excited to be there. They know it will be a fun, exciting day. They are ready to learn, participate, share, and take turns. It is amazing to watch my students learn and grow each day. They become "mini-mes" as they learn and my older students help the 3-year-olds when they enter at any time during the year.
My Project
Due to all the security measures taking place in schools now, it is required that our students wear name tags all day long.
These from Lakeshore are perfect because they are sized for little children and easy to put on and take off.
The clear pockets are great because we can add their picture, lunch number and/or whatever else is needed.
The basic learning ring can be taken wherever we go so if there is an opportunity we can practice letter names, numbers colors and shapes.
As teachers, we never want to lose a teaching moment and we also want to always keep our students safe!
