My Students

Welcome to the new Physical Education. Students' experiences in PE are not what their parents remember. Physical education is a success-oriented experience where students are challenged in a fun safe learning environment.

Our students are part of an inclusive environment which include students with various special needs including students in wheelchairs and students with autism.

With recent redistricting half our students are new to the school. The new students come with a new set of needs. They are amazing students who want to be part of every aspect of Physical Education.

My Project

My new students include many students with special needs which include three children who have a wheelchair and several students with autism. They need special equipment to be a true part of the Physical Education class.

Inclusion is not just sharing space it is sharing experiences.

They have the right to participate in every aspect of Physical Education. These requested folding rainbow mats will allow for students to participate in activities out of their chair and on the floor. The inflatable physio roll ball helps students who lack the core strength to sit on a regular exercise ball. The lightweight fingerlight balls are more responsive to hands that lack strength in striking activities.
