My Project

My performing arts students will be taking their skills to the big stage this Spring! Students will enhance their literacy skills, by researching and reading the actual stage kit for the Lion King, and upon completion of the extensive lesson they will perform before a live audience at the local Performing Arts Center here in our county.

The cultural presentation will bring the colors and sounds of Africa to life, allowing students to learn the authentic nature and diversity of the culture.

Students will perform in authentic "Ankara", "Kente" and "Dashiki" patterns to accurately enhance the Lion King presentation. This project will engage them through arts integration and STEAM and stimulate their love of literature, arts, music and technology.

The vision of our program goes beyond our current financial abilities. Donating to this project, ensures that the authenticity of the arts is upheld and maintained. These items will allow students to perform and represent the culture in a superb manner.
