My Students

As a speech pathologist, I have loved helping students find their "voice," whether it is working on specific sounds to increase their intelligibility or finding alternative communication mode.

Every student deserves the ability to tell their story and have a voice.

I work with a variety of students with complex communication needs from ages 3 - 11 years old. Every student is unique and every need is different. It's like a puzzle and finding that missing piece and watching the students' communication blossom is my favorite part!

My Project

Communication apps will be at my fingertips! In the past, families and school districts would need to purchase a stand-alone communication device that may or may not fit the needs of the student or family.

Now, with the use of an iPad, we have access to so many communication apps and resources to best support students' needs.

In addition, an iPad can provide a visual aid that will save planning time and printing multiple pages for each student. Research has shown children learn best using a multi sensory model, an iPad can provide visual support in a fun and motivating way.
