I am surrounded by a bunch of smiling, happy and excitable first graders every day! Their energy and inquisitiveness is refreshing to be around and it gets me excited to be their teacher. Since I teach in a rural area, the variety of backgrounds they have sometimes makes it challenging to make lessons and activities to fit all of their needs and abilities. The STEAM kits will give them an opportunity to talk, build and problem solve together. What fun that will be!
My Project
During our day, the children get a chance to work on extra activities or iPads to support and reinforce skills that we are learning in class. Adding two extra iPads and covers to our Book Nook Area will help involve more students with technology. I also wanted to give the students a comfortable place to sit and explore. The Comfy Floor Chair and Soft Seats will make it a cool place to be!
My students will also be able to engage in different math, science and reading apps that will enhance the STEAM skills needed for their future education.
Students who use iPads for learning will think that it is enjoyable and begin to learn more about necessary STEAM skills with excitement! iPads are a gateway to better math, science and reading skills for all types of learners.
