My Students

We just started online blended learning last week. This group of kids are students I have not met personally (have seen them in the building).

After being online with them the last 5 days I see that they are the most kind, considerate, eager to learn group.

I am amazed by their willingness to be online by 8:30 am ready to learn. I am sad we cannot be in the building at this time, but after teaching them online I feel a bond with them already. I am looking forward to meeting each one of them in person.

My Project

We have a new social studies curriculum this fall and adding this to it will enhance what students are learning. Scholastic News does an amazing job of putting together a learning option for students. Students are always interested in what is going on around them, their state and their nation. Scholastic News brings it to their level of understanding. I like it because it just adds another layer of interest. It gets them asking more in depth questions. Since we are blended learning now I will be able to use on line while kids are home as well as when they return to the classroom
