Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students live in a low, socioeconomic environment. There are students who are living in single-parent homes, who are foster children, whose parents are on drugs or who are homeless. The students attend school and want to learn. As their teacher, it is imperative to make children feel comfortable in an educational environment. Each year, there are not many students who can afford school supplies. As the kindergarten teacher, I make learning fun because of my students living in poverty. I am always collaborating with parents.

My Project

As a kindergarten teacher, I have to make lessons fun and interactive. My goal is to ensure each student learns effectively. The benefits of headphones is to help keep all students on the same level and encourage them to pay attention and interact with the teacher because they can hear every word. Young students at workstations can use headphones with tablets and computers. Headphones play an important role in my lesson plans. For example, wireless headphones will benefit because while doing a reading listening at the computer, wires will not get tangle up. Also, if they are moving alot and the headphone cord comes out, they will not worry on how to input the cord. The students will be able to pay close attention to what they are listening to for them to comprehend. The headphones also will help my English Second Language (ESL) students listen to directions in their native language. Please help us purchase wireless headphones for my class.
