Thank you for taking the time to find out more about my class. I teach first grade in south Mississippi. My school is a Title I school. We have have a wide-range of students with limited background experiences.
I feel that first grade is the foundation to all other grades, and that I am the "ground floor" of their skyscraper!
My wonderful students are 6-7 years old who are excited about learning and coming to school each day. I have a variety of learning levels and learning styles in my class. Many of my students require small group instruction and individualized help throughout the day. There is no greater reward for me than to see a student over come a challenge before them and become a confident life long learner.
My Project
Student's use headphones in my class daily during reading and math centers. Individualized lessons are created to help all students show growth and achieve individual goals through out the year. Computer and listening center activities require good headphones.
By donating to my class, you will be providing quality headphones for center work and individual work that will help propel students ahead on their educational path.
Students will be able to focus on academic material instead of complaining that they can not hear out of one ear and missing important information. They will also be able to control the volume easily on these headphones. Technology and listening skill play a key role in todays learning and these new headphones will play a big part.
