Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach fourth grade in an ethnically diverse, Reading First, school. The majority of my students are bilingual.

My students need to be able to hear me clearly no matter where they sit in the classroom. They need to do this in order to stay focused and on task. Many times students ask me to repeat instructions due to their distance from the front of the room. Unfortunately, many students are distracted by noises from the heating and cooling system and computer noises. This problem can be easily solved with the supplies being requested.

The resources I am requesting are an audio voice saver and headphones. They will be used to project my voice to the back of the room and to block out the computer noises. When the children are better able to hear me, they will improve their academic skills by correctly completing their assignments.

Please, make it possible for my students to get a quality education. Your generosity will provide me with the equipment I need to better facilitate lessons for my students. It will also help my students stay focused and improve in all areas of their academic endeavors.
