My students need iPads in the classroom in order to have access to the amazing electronic and educational resources that may otherwise not be available.
I work in a school with a big population of English Language Learners. Many of the games, manipulatives, and supplies in the class are bought or made by me. I try to provide as many as I can, for the whole class, while still offering differentiation.
The more hands-on activities and supplies there are, the more engaged the students will be!
In my class, I've found that the students are excited and involved when they are using games and different materials to enhance the learning process.
Unfortunately, we do not have as many games and supplies as we need. I would love to be able to offer the most to these students, to help them enjoy school even MORE than they already do!
My Project
Many of my students come from families who can not afford iPads, tablets, or even computers. In addition, these children often lack educational support outside of school. These iPads contain numerous educational and, fun apps that will allow my students to access activities, games, and resources that will help to further develop their academic development.
Using iPads will not only help them academically, but it helps them become familiar with technology that they can then access throughout their school years.
In donating iPads to these students, you are not only providing another means for them to learn, but also a stepping stone for their academic development. I believe that the iPads, as used in the classroom, can only help to strengthen what is taught and help the students reach their full potential.
