My Students

My second grade students love to read. They challenge themselves to improve their reading level on a daily basis. They read both fiction and nonfiction. They enjoy sharing the books that they have read with a their classmates. Then, their classmates read the book and they have great conversations about the content. Reading becomes contagious!

My Project

These books of various levels will provide each student the opportunity to build confidence and experience the world through a book.

My students are challenged to improve their reading level throughout the school year and make one year's growth or more.

By having an assortment of books, each and every student in my whole class will be able to choose a book at their level with content that is interesting to them. They will become readers for life and valuable assets to our community. Their love of reading will shape our future generations.
