My Students
I am a speech therapist and serve many children of various ages and abilities. I love working with my students, they are hard working and so much fun to be around.
Many of my students have disabilities that make learning difficult but we power through and try to make our speech sessions fun.
Even though they are working from home they are happy and full of smiles when they log on to their speech sessions.
My Project
Like so many other school districts our students have had to start the school year remotely which of course has been very difficult on the parents and their children. It is a very stressful time. Students and parents alike have been doing their best to handle technical issues from home so participation in class work is possible.
Being a speech therapist it is extremely important for me to hear my students clearly and loudly, especially when working on sounds.
We have found it nearly impossible to work on our speech due to the normal background noises of their households. Using headsets with microphones will make our speech sessions much more productive and reduce the stress on my students.
