Help me give my students materials to continue learning remotely. Even though we're separated right now, I'd like to help students learn by demonstrating life science hands-on through a new home-friendly document camera and digital resources from Teachers Pay Teachers.
Most of my students can access our online community most of the time. I try to give them meaningful assignments, but since I had to leave my classroom materials inside my classroom, my hands-on demos have been limited.
It would be fantastic to have materials available that I can use from my home to inspire students to recreate science activities at home.
I have been buying students egift cards to Amazon as a way of rewarding their participation. I have resorted to having almost daily raffles, and it's a small way to say "thank you" to the many students who are actively engaged in their own learning.
I teach life science and use a variety of technology. I want to keep my students involved even though they're at home. I also look forward to supporting other teachers' work through Teachers Pay Teachers. I get amazing great ideas and short cuts.
What better way to do that than doing live demonstrations using a document camera?
Students can see what I'm doing, and do the same at home. For example, we can dissect a flower or a piece of fruit to examine the amazing reproductive system. The document camera is vital to demonstrations from home and back in the classroom.
