My Students

Have you ever sat in a meeting or classroom and not been able to see what the instructor was demonstrating? In a classroom of 30+ students per period it can be very difficult to see what the teacher is doing clearly.

My school is located in a high poverty area with roughly 52% who qualify for free and/or reduced lunches.

Our community of Moore, OK was hit directly by and EF5 tornado. Our school was not hit directly, however our students and our community have suffered significant losses. Many students in my school struggle with Math. We have a mixed variety of students who come from all types of backgrounds. Parents in our school want their child to have the best education possible, but often do not have the resources to do so.

My Project

Having a document camera in the classroom would change the way my students view math. This document camera will open the eyes to mathematical education for my students. My students constatly tell me that they cannot see how I use the manipulatives when I demonstrate them. This document camera would save valuable time in the classroom allowing me to assist students one on one rather than having to demonstrate multiple times to different groups.

Please help me support my students education in the classroom.

First hand viewing is extremely important for students to know what is happening in the classroom. My students are in desperate need of this piece of equipment. I guarentee you that this camera would change the way my students view math in their lives.
