Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are between seven and nine years old. The school is considered to be low socioeconomic area and over 98% of the student body qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. Our school also offers every student free breakfast. Many of the students come from single family homes. Many of my students do not have any chances to experience technological learning at home. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. This is evident in the in the school being an A school. I am looking to give my students positive and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

I would like to take my classroom into the 21st century. By using the requested Epson LCD Projector, I can enhance the learning gains for all my learners. My students will be able to visually see and manipulate different documents and books.

We currently have a promethean board and no functioning projector.

It would also allow us to take virtual field trips to learn through new experiences, that would be otherwise inaccessible. This technology would greatly impact my hands on and visual learners. My students love to be hands-on with their learning. It helps them focus and engage with the content being taught.
