My students need improved projection equipment. We currently project from a cart, creating issues with wires, cables, and consistent projection quality. With a ceiling mounted projector, we can be safer and more consistent in our presentations.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from a low income, high poverty area, where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Coupled with an extremely high mobility rate, many of my students perform well below grade level expectations.
Development of social emotional learning skills are crucial to my students' success.
Learning to effectively and appropriately collaborate in small groups can provide a basis for successfully closing the achievement gap we are faced with. Best practices suggest that skills associated with cooperative learning are essential for achieving student success.
My Project
Through the course of a regular school day, we use projections from a number of devices almost constantly. When your projector is on a cart, it can be difficult to keep the quality of the projection consistent, not to mention the concern with cords stretched across the floor!
A ceiling mounted projector can easily help solve these problems.
Improved quality, clarity and consistency of the picture will be immediate. Our projectors and cables will be protected and experience less movement and contact. A cleaner and safer classroom will be welcome results as well. Please help us provide this improvement to our classroom.
