I teach special education students in third and fourth grades. We are in a rural community and have a high percentage of students with special needs.
Every student in third and fourth grade is placed in a guided reading group. These groups give students the opportunity to read and learn at their reading level. The students that I work with struggle with reading. The lower level books that are available to them are too immature.
I need six sets of six books that are at lower reading levels and are interesting to students of this age. My students will benefit greatly from these books. They will be able to read interesting books which will increase their interest in reading and therefore improve their reading skills. We need six copies each of six book titles, including Amelia Bedelia Goes Camping, Greg's Microscope, Nate the Great, Henry and Mudge to name just a few.
You will make it possible for my students to have access to interesting books at their levels. This will make a huge impact on their future learning.
