Ms. Adams from Atlanta GA is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need iPads with cases to practice kindergarten skills during their reading rotations. These devices will assist with phonemic awareness as well as reading development.

As a teacher in a Title I school, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple, yet rigorous as well as provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. It is my hope that the knowledge and the experiences I provide to my students enable them to become life-long learners and productive 21st century citizens.
My students are innovative, intelligent and very inquisitive.
They love to be engaged in the learning process, take adventures through stories and inquire about new knowledge . There are many things that take place outside of the school which may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences that most of us deem normal. The moment they walk into my classroom, my main goal is to enhance their potential and promote growth. By doing this in a creative, technology driven and academically challenging environment, they are sure to exceed societal expectations with ease.
My students need iPads for educational apps that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, writing, and reading development to explore with during small group rotation. They will use these devices to assist with being fully engaged in reading exploration so that they do not have to solely rely on the teacher to read to them. They can engage individually.
These iPads will be used during small group rotations while we are practicing fluency, various mathematical concepts, and many other kindergarten skills.
Your generous donations will help my class become better readers and mathematicians by focusing on the alphabet, writing and math apps for the iPads.
