My Project

Our school recently received a new writing curriculum. Part of the new curriculum is exploring the different writing styles in picture books. This allows students to see how authors use the six traits of writing in their writing. It also helps students explore examples of the writing that we practice each year.

These picture books will be used in each 2nd-grade classroom to help support students in their writing!

These picture books are an integral part of the writing process. They provide examples of writing purposes, word choice, and additional writing strategies that align with our lessons. Students will use these books throughout each writing unit. This will help them understand writing and help them to enhance their own.
